Bio
Patrick Barrow was born October 9, 1988 in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts, USA. Patrick was raised in his mother’s art studio and enrolled in after-school art instruction. In 2007, he moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA to attend the College of Santa Fe, where he graduated in 2012 with a BA in Contemporary Music and a minor in Studio Art. After college, Patrick hosted a series of house concerts, exhibiting his art at home. Patrick became involved with the Meow Wolf art collective in 2015 and with them, took part in his first group exhibit at David Richard Gallery in 2016. Meow Wolf’s first permanent installation, the House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, which opened in 2016, features a mural by Patrick. Since then, Patrick has focused on his art practice at home, and recently completed a series of pieces encompassing 9 years of work. He works and lives in downtown Santa Fe with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.

2000: 1st place in a private show, independently juried, for his drawing of a Dogbane Beetle
2003: 2nd place (Group II) in the Massachusetts Junior Duck Stamp competition, for his drawing of a Barrow’s Goldeneye
2005: 1st prize in Dartmouth High School end-of-year art show, for his oil pastel still life
2009: Honorable Mention in the College of Santa Fe’s Annual Juried Student Exhibition And you thought we were dead!, for his graphite drawing of David Barnes’ multiple exposure photograph Species
2011: Exhibition at Alumni Hall at College of Santa Fe, series of work entitled Blooming, Buzzing Confusions
2012: Painted a mural with Kori Grayson for the Contemporary Music Program in Benildus Hall at College of Santa Fe
2012: Hosted Feasts of the Unconscious, a multimedia immersive house experience, exhibiting work from high school through college
2013: Featured in Knack Magazine, a piece entitled The Shapes of Wrath
2016: Group exhibition at David Richard Gallery, Santa Fe, for Meow Wolf’s 8-year retrospective
2016: Painted a mural at Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return, entitled Wholeness
2020: Featured in The End of Being, an arts and culture website curated by The Product Division of Santa Fe, with an illustrated article entitled The State of My Art in 2020
